State Health Secretary Christina Chongthu emphasised the importance of prioritising health for individuals across all age groups while inaugurating a free medical camp at Dr BR Ambedkar Secretariat.
The initiative was jointly organised by Aster Prime Hospital and the Dr BR Ambedkar Secretariat Association to provide essential health services to Secretariat employees.
The camp offered comprehensive health screenings, including BMI, blood pressure, random blood sugar, hemoglobin tests and eye examinations. Additional diagnostic services such as ECG, 2D Echo tests, oral and breast cancer screenings and dental check-ups were also provided based on doctors’ recommendations.
Christina Chongthu reiterated the State government’s commitment to enhancing public healthcare and ensuring better medical services in government hospitals.
The camp, which ran from 11am to 5pm, was staffed by specialists from General Surgery, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Gynecology and Gastroenterology, along with 35 medical professionals. Free medicines were also distributed to beneficiaries.
