General Manager inspects KK-II Line

East Coast Railway General Manager RN has Sunker inspected KK-II line, NMDC Kirandul on Monday. He inspected sidings, railway establishments, railway stations, NMDC mining site etc. He conducted window trailing inspection of the section to check track, curves, bridges, points & crossing etc. Divisional Railway Manager Anup Satpathy, Principal Heads from various departments and Branch officers of Waltair accompanied GM, ECoR during his inspection.

The General Manager inspected the doubling works of Kirandul-Jagdalpur and siding works and suggested some modifications. Further, GM RN Sunker inspected a rapid wagon discharge silo system at Kirandul, which would be beneficial in reducing the wagon loading time from 4hrs to 2hrs. He interacted with the higher officials of NMDC and held elaborate discussions for improving freight loading. He advised the authorities to complete the project at the earliest.

GM held meetings with NMDC top officials to discuss various issues pertaining to enhancing the loading of rakes. This will not only increase the traffic of both parties but also generate additional revenue. He advised officials to evacuate the Iron Ore for supplying to various plants.

RN Sunker inspected Kirandul, Bhansi, Dantewada, Jagdalpur stations and interacted with the representatives of various associations and media persons. He said that various developmental activities have been carried out in this region as per the guidelines issued by the Railway Board and even more at several places. Train services have been enhanced, rakes of several trains converted into LHB rakes, platform heights are raised and increased etc, he added.
