The state government has transferred several Assistant Directors of Medical Education (ADME), Professors, and Principals of Government Medical Colleges (GMCs), as well as Superintendents of Government General Hospitals (GGH), on administrative grounds. The transfers were made under the direction of the Director of Medical Education, and a government order (G.O. RT No. 649) was issued by the Special Chief Secretary of Health, Medical & Family Welfare Department, M.T. Krishna Babu, on Monday.
According to the order, Dr. N.V. Sundarachary, Principal of Machilipatnam GMC, has been transferred to serve as Principal of Guntur GMC, while Dr. T.T.K. Reddy, the current Principal of Guntur GMC, has been posted to Machilipatnam GMC.
In a similar move, Dr. S.S.V. Ramana, Professor of Orthopaedics at Guntur GMC, has been appointed as Superintendent of Guntur GGH. The present Guntur GGH Superintendent, Dr. Y. Kiran, has been reassigned as Professor of General Surgery at Guntur GMC, filling an existing vacancy.
Additionally, Dr. D. Venkateswara Rao, Superintendent of Vijayawada GGH, has been transferred to the DME office as Additional Director of Medical Education. Dr. A. Venkateswara Rao, Professor of Anaesthesia at Siddhartha Medical College, will now serve as the new Superintendent of Vijayawada GGH.
In Kurnool, Dr. K. Venkateswarlu, Professor of Orthopaedics at Kurnool Medical College, has been posted as Superintendent of Kurnool GGH, filling an existing vacancy.
