Give priority to road safety: VMC Commissioner

Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) Commissioner HM Dhyanachandra has asked the officials concerned to take the necessary road safety measures without any flaws to reduce road accidents in the city. He inspected the implementation of road accident preventive steps on Wednesday.
As part of daily visits to various areas in the city, Commissioner Dhyanachandra visited Visalandhra Road, AS Rama Rao Road, Singh Nagar, Excel Plant Road, Vambay Colony Road, Syamala Devi Road and Paipula Raod junction along with engineering department officials. He made a field inspection of a road proposed by the engineering department. However, he made it clear that officials should not compromise the road safety.
Later, he proceeded to Old Rajiv Nagar and inspected the Community Hall. The engineering officials have proposed to demolish the old one and construct the new building. He visited the Iconic Park and directed officials to submit a detailed report.
