Former AICC president Rahul Gandhi said that he is happy as leaders who had quit the Congress are coming back.
He said that ‘Ghar Wapsi’ is taking place in Telangana and called upon Telangana Congress leaders to move forward with the slogan ‘KCR ko Hatao—Telangana ko Bachao.’Rahul had a half-an-hour meeting with suspended BRS leaders Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Jupally Krishna Rao at the AICC office in New Delhi on Monday and said that the leaders have to work hard to win the forthcoming TS elections.
Telangana Congress in-charge Manikrao Thakre said that the BRS is the B-Team of the BJP. Thakre asked why the BRS did not attend the Patna opposition leaders’ meeting if it is really fighting the BJP. Nothing will happen due to KCR’s Maharashtra tour and added that KCR is just burning the money he had earned illegally in Maharashtra.
Thakre said that the people of Telangana believe in the Congress as it is the alternative to the BJP. He said that a large number of people will join the Congress in the coming days.
He said that the party is not giving any assurance to leaders who join the Congress but will give tickets on the basis of surveys.
