Gond artist receives award from President

Madavi Ananda Rao, the Gond artist, received award from President DraupadiMurmu at a programme held in Delhi on Tuesday night.
He conducted a Gond painting workshop at Rashtrapati Bhavan for 13 days and created art works depicting the Gond culture, Adivasi deity, Adivasis beating drums for Gussadi dance, Gondsusing tudum and the festival of Diwali and its history.
The president went through his album of painting works and appreciated him. International Gond Art director, designer, training master MadaviRajeshwar also lauded his works. He said that winning the President’s award at a young age is a matter of great pride.
