Govt clears Rs 1,190 crore for gram panchayats

The Telangana government has decided to release Rs 1,190 crore to gram panchayats.

As per the orders of KCR, Finance Minister Harish Rao and Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao met Chief Secretary Shantikumari and held a meeting. They discussed the release of funds for various works in gram panchayats and decided to release Rs1190 crore.

The CS spoke to all concerned authorities and ordered the immediate release of funds.

Meanwhile, after the funds were released, sarpanches across the state expressed their happiness. With the release of funds, development projects are likely to progress at a faster pace.

The representatives of the Sarpanch Association met the Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, at the minister’s residence in Hyderabad and thanked him, KCR and Harish Rao.

Harish and Errabelli Dayakar Rao expressed their gratitude to KCR for keeping the interests of villages in his mind and releasing funds.
