Excise Ministers Dr V. Srinivas Goud, Gangula Kamalakar and MLAs Prakash Goud and KP Vivekanand Goud performed bhoomi pooja for the Goud Athma Gourava Bhavan on Sunday at Kokapet. Later, the Ministers handed over Rs 12.5 crore as ex-gratia to toddy toppers.
Addressing the gathering, Srininvas Goud and Gangula Kamalakar said that the government is striving to ensure the welfare of toddy tappers. They said that the BRS government has been constructing Atma Gourava Bhavans for 41 BC castes in Kokapet and Uppal Bhagayath. The government has allocated 87.3 acres and Rs 95.25 crore for that, they said.
