Industries and IT Minister D Sridhar Babu has said that the State government will end the politics of murder. He expressed concern over the culture of politics of murder being pursued for 10 years under the BRS regime.
He was inaugurating Mahila Sakti canteens at Mahadevpur, Kataram and Kottapalli under the limits of Manthani Assembly constituency on Wednesday. Later, he unveiled the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Kataram.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Sridhar Babu, delivering a marathon speech, said that conspiracies were hatched to eliminate the Congress leaders in Manthani constituency, besides unleashing repression on the Congress rank and file in the constituency. He recalled several instances and quoted examples from the past during the BRS regime to drive his point home.
By virtue of the God’s grace, the people showered their love and affection on the Congress. Similarly, the Congress leaders have strong faith in the law of the land, he said, adding that the Congress government would work to implement the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and Ambedkar.
The main focus of the government would be on development, he added.
The Government has been encouraging the women to achieve economic self-reliance and hence encouraging Mahila Sakti canteens, he said.
Telangana State Trading Corporation Chairman A Prakash Reddy, Kataram Sub-Collector Mayanka Singh, Additional Collector Vijayalakshmi, DRDO Avinash, DPO Narayana Rao and others took part in the event.
