Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Saturday announced that 3,500 Indiramma houses would be allocated to each Assembly constituency in the first phase.
The Minister, along with Khammam MP Ramasahayam Raghurama Reddy, toured Kusumanchi mandal, laid the foundation stones for several road construction projects, and distributed Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) cheques to beneficiaries in Kusumanchi and Nelakondapalli mandals.
The Minister laid the foundation for the construction of cement concrete roads in Lokya Tanda village under Kusumanchi mandal with MGNERGS funds of Rs 15 lakh, in Kokyatanda village with Rs 20 lakhs, and Lingaram Tanda village with RS 19 lakh.
Subsequently, in the Kusumanchi camp office, the Minister handed over CMRF cheques worth a little over Rs 16 lakh to 42 beneficiaries from Nelakondapalli mandal and Rs 18. 80 lakh to 64 beneficiaries from Kusumanchi mandal.
Speaking on the occasion, Srinivas Reddy wished happiness, peace and prosperity to people in the New Year. He said he had prayed the god to bestow his divine blessings on people.
Despite financial challenges, the government is committed to fulfilling every promise made, said the Minister. He mentioned that 80 lakh people had applied for houses across the state, and the survey for 64 lakh applications had already been completed through the app, and the remaining survey would be completed in the next four days. He assured the people that double-bedroom houses, which are under construction, would be completed before Sankranti by allocating funds.
He also instructed officials to take urgent action for drinking water supply in villages.
He stated that the government is working sincerely for the welfare of farmers, youth, and women, and informed that there would be good news for farmers in today’s Cabinet meeting.
