Group 2 exam held peacefully in Eluru, Prakasam

The APPSC Group 2 examinations were conducted peacefully in Eluru district for which 11,696 candidates attended.
District Collector V Prasanna Venkatesh said here on Sunday that out of the total 13,977 candidates, 11,696 candidates wrote the examination which works out to 83.68%. He said that the Group 2 examinations were conducted in 39 centres in the district and the examinations went off peacefully.
Collector Prasanna Venkatesh inspected the examination centres on the campus of Ramachandra Engineering College and CR Reddy Women’s College.
He examined the signatures of candidates in the registers and also checked the roll number and seating arrangements. He directed the invigilators to ensure that the examinations were held peacefully.
He also inspected the security arrangements at the examination centre. Joint Collector B Lavanya Veni, RDO NSK Khajavali, and zonal manager K Babji were among those who accompanied the Collector.
In Prakasam district, Superintendent of Police P Parameswar Reddy personally inspected the security arrangements at the examination centres on Sunday.  He visited the QUIZ Engineering College, RISE Engineering College, AKVK College, Nagarjuna Degree College and SSN College and gave directions to the police officials.  The SP told the media that the Group 2 screening test was conducted in 49 centres in Prakasam district. Section 144 was clamped at the examination centres.
All Xerox and printing centres remained closed till the examinations were concluded. All needed steps were taken to ensure that there would be no traffic congestion during the examination.
