Growth rate of paper industry in TG is 6-7%: Ganesh Bhadti

Ganesh Bhadti, Chairman of PaperTech 2024 and Director-Operations at Seshasayee Paper and Boards Limited stated that the growth rate of paper industry in Telangana is six to seven per cent and there will be 12 per cent rise for the industry in the upcoming years across India. He was speaking at the two-day Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) PaperTech conference at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) on Tuesday. Apart from the PaperTech conference, Green Sugar Summit 2024 and Powerplant Summit 2024 were also organised simultaneously.
  The theme of the PaperTech conference is “Make Indian Pulp & Paper Industry World Class,” and the event witnessed a large footfall of industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders to discuss strategies for elevating the sector to international standards.

Ganesh Bhadti said, “The paper industry is witnessing an unprecedented shift in magnitude and importance as we move away from fossil-based products and towards a low-carbon economy. The Indian paper and board industry has successfully reduced emissions by over 20 per cent in the last decade, showcasing its commitment to greener production methods.” Pawan Agarwal, President of the Indian Paper Manufacturers Association (IPMA) and Managing Director of Naini Papers Ltd., said, “The plantation-based paper industry holds immense potential, with the ability to grow plants within four-five years. With such a sustainable approach, the future of the paper industry looks brighter than ever.”
