Sridhar Babu assures to cater skill set employees

Emphasising the fast growth of pet adoption in Hyderabad, along with a 10 to 12 per cent increase across the country, Minister for IT, E&C, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, D Sridhar Babu, inaugurated the Zoetis India Capability Centre (GCC) on the 8th floor of the Orwell block in Sattva Knowledge City on Tuesday.
Addressing the launch, Sridhar Babu highlighted Hyderabad’s unmatched infrastructure, including ORR connectivity, high-end facilities and best human talent. He also mentioned that the city is home to leading institutions in animal science along with collaboration of colleges, globally recognised for their ability.
Citing back to the Global AI Summit, he noted the positive impact of AI on various sectors has been discussed, including veterinary science and R&D, with extensive vaccine sorting and research being conducted. Sridhar Babu assured government support and promised skilled employment opportunities in the city. He also emphasised that Hyderabad’s Skill University will train people to meet industry needs, something no other State offers. He concluded that any skills needed will be managed by the Director of Life Sciences and be provided to the GCC’s.

Meanwhile, Zoetis Chief Information Officer, Keith Sarbaugh, said that the office space will accommodate 300 seats and announced plans to hire hundreds of life sciences professionals with R&D experience in the city.
