Minister for Municipal Administration Audimulapu Suresh said that secretariat conveners are being appointed to ensure that the welfare schemes reach all eligible poor.
Addressing a secretary conveners meeting here on Tuesday, the minister said that the ‘Gruha Saradhulu’ or the conveners of the secretariat are being appointed to strengthen the system and to reach out to people more effectively.
As a part of this system, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has initiated the appointment of convenors (Gruha Saradhulu) of the Secretariat with an aim of reaching people in all 175 constituencies of the state. He said that the YSRCP MLAs are already participating in the ‘Gadapa Gadaku’ programme. The highest goal of the government is to provide welfare fruits to every household, he added.
“The objective of appointing ‘Gruha Saradhulu’ is to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach all eligible people without hindrances. The Gruha Saradhulu will examine the implementation of the welfare schemes, know the difficulties of the poor in getting the benefits and help the volunteers of the secretariats to resolve them,” Audimulapu Suresh said.
The Minister said that there are 362 volunteers in the mandal and two Gruha Saradhulu would help each volunteer to resolve the problems of people at the earliest and efficiently. If all volunteers and conveners work with diligence and dedication, taking the welfare schemes benefits to every eligible household is possible, he asserted.
The people of the state should remember the implementation of welfare schemes and the carrying out of development programmes are being carried out by the Jagan Mohan Reddy-headed government he promised despite financial constraints.
“The Jagan Reddy-headed government has spent Rs 1.76 lakh crore for the implementation of various welfare schemes during the last three and half years in the state. The people should understand that AP stands at the forefront in implementing welfare schemes for the poor in the country,” the minister claimed.
The minister said that the TDP and JSP criticised the implementation of welfare schemes earlier and now they promise that they would implement the welfare schemes if voted to power keeping in view the ensuing elections. The two parties had lost credibility and the people would not trust them anymore, he predicted. Minister Audimulapu Suresh guided the Gruha Saradhulu in the meeting.
Constituency observer Roop Kumar said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s aim is that the YSRCP should reach every household. The secretariat conveners are being appointed to reach out to every household more efficiently, he stated. AMC chairman Udumula Srinivasa Reddy and AMC chairman Ongole Murthy Reddy were among those who were present.
