Gunadala Mary Matha fest from February 9-11

The Gunadala Mary Mata festival committee on Tuesday announced that the three-day annual Mary Mata festival would be held from February 9 to 11, 2023. The committee on Tuesday discussed the arrangements to be made for the festival, which would be attended by lakhs of devotees from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and other neighboring States.

Vijayawada Mary Mata Shrine Rector Father Elati William Jayaraju presided over the meeting along with other committee members. Speaking on the occasion, Jayaraju said that in 2022, the annual Mary Mata festival was cancelled due to the spread of Covid-19 pandemic. He said the Gunadala Mary Mata shrine festival committee decided to work in coordination with the APSRTC, Railways, VMC, Medical and Health, Electricity and Revenue departments. Bishop secretary Fr B Anand, vicar general Fr M Gabriel, Fr K Marianna, Fr Merugumala Chinnappa and others attended the meeting.
