The newly-appointed Guntur Mirchi Market Yard chairman Nimmakayala Rajanarayana, Deputy Chairman Sk. Subhani and directors took oath on Sunday.
Mirchi Market Yard honorary president and MLA Maddali Giridhar Rao administered oath with them. Civil Supplies minister Karumuri Venkata Nageswara Rao, Irrigation minister Ambati Rambabu, MP Lavu Sri Krishnadevarayalu. MLCs Janga Krishna Murthy, Lella Appireddy, Marri Rajasekhar, Chandragiri Yesuratnam and MLA Md.Mustafa were among who attended the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Karumuri Nageswara Rao is giving priority to the BCs, SCs, STs and Minorities in giving them posts. He claimed that 70% of ministers in the Jagan Mohan Reddy Cabinet belong to SC, ST, BC and Minorities.
The Minister also claimed that the poverty has declined to 6% from 11.10 % in the state due to implementation of various welfare schemes by the Jagan Reddy headed government.
Minister Ambati Rambabu recalled that the Chief Minister has disbursed Rs 2.30 lakh crore worth benefits to the poor under various welfare schemes. MP Sri Krishnadevarayalu congratulated the mirchi yard chairman, deputy chairman and members. The MP said that over Rs 10,000 crore worth mirchi business is carried out in the Guntur mirchi yard per year. All facilities were provided to the mirch yard, he stated. MLC Appireddy, Mirchi yard chairman Nimakayala Rajanarayana also spoke.
