The Governor, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, congratulated Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for introducing a futuristic budget for the country.The Governor also submitted future development plans for Puducherry and Telangana to the Union Finance Minister in New Delhi on Sunday.
In a tweet, the Governor said, “Met Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi. Congratulated her for her excellent Amrit Kaal Budget presented to ensure future economic growth amidst post-pandemic challenges on the visionary path of te Prime Minister. Discussed GOI-funded projects in Telangana and Puducherry.”
“Hailed her fiscal strategy aimed at bringing down the deficit below 4.5% by 2025-26 and the projected GDP growth in the future years on the backdrop of the G20 India Presidency,” Dr Tamilisai added.
