The High Court of Andhra Pradesh has ordered the Government of Andhra Pradesh to revise the exam dates for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) and Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT/DSC) exams and to maintain at least a 4-week gap between AP TET and AP DSC 2024 which indicates that AP DSC 2024 will be postponed by 4 weeks. A petition was filed in the AP High Court demanding additional time to prepare for the exam. The court concluded its final hearing on February 28 and pronounced the judgment on Monday.
The High Court order came as a sigh of relief to many aspirants as they are looking for additional time to prepare for the teacher recruitment exam. AP TET 2024 for SA concludes on March 6, and there should be at least a 4-week gap for AP DSC now. On the other hand, the government should not conduct the AP DSC exam for AP TET SGT-qualified candidates till April 2024. The SGT exam of AP TET 2024 concluded on March 1.
The AP Government planned to conduct AP DSC 2024 from March 15 onwards for SA candidates and for SGT candidates, the exam was supposed to begin on March 25. The Government released AP TET and AP DSC notifications simultaneously and gave only a week gap between AP TET and AP DSC exam dates specifically for SA (School Assistant) candidates. The court considered the arguments valid and ordered the government to keep at least a 4 week gap.
