Heavy rains forecast in AP

Must read

Heavy rain is likely to occur across North Coastal AP, South Coastal AP, and the Rayalaseema region over the next 24 hours.
The previously observed cyclonic circulation over Rayalaseema, extending up to 5.8 km above mean sea level, has diminished in intensity. However, its influence may still trigger heavy rainfall in isolated areas of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema within the next day.
According to a meteorological report released on Saturday, a low-pressure area is anticipated to develop over the southwest Bay of Bengal around May 22.  This system is projected to track northeastward initially and intensify into a depression over central parts of the Bay of Bengal around May 24.
Additionally, the southwest monsoon is expected to progress into the South Andaman Sea, certain parts of the Southeast Bay of Bengal, and the Nicobar Islands by around May 19. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong gusty winds (with speeds ranging from 40-50 kmph or 30-40 kmph) are forecasted to occur at isolated locations in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema over the next five days.
