Producer Prerna Arora recently opened up about her journey in the film industry. She candidly discussed the challenges she faced, including gender disparity, sexism, judicial issues, betrayal, trust and redemption. Reacting to the ‘brutally honest’ interview, filmmaker Suresh Krissna, director of her production venture Hero Heeroine, praised the producer’s strength and called her “a woman with a clear-cut vision”.
He said he was moved by Prerna’s interview. In a heartfelt note, Krissna admitted that he had no idea about the extent of her struggles, despite knowing her for two years.
He wrote, “Without ever openly discussing these matters during our meetings, I already saw you as a brilliant producer—a woman with a clear-cut vision. You know how to take a project forward, how to ensure it becomes a unique product and how to handle people with grace and authority. Now, after seeing your interview, I understand your background better. No wonder you possess such incredible abilities. The interview was truly inspiring. Here is a woman who chose the challenging path of becoming a producer and has gone through tremendous ups and downs in such a short time. Your story is not just inspiring; it’s a testament to resilience, strength, and unwavering determination.”
Suresh Krissna expressed his excitement and confidence in working with her on Hero Heeroine, now that he has a deeper understanding of her journey. Produced by Prerna Arora, Hero Heeroine is set to release in 2024. The film stars Divya Khosla, Soni Razdan, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajeev Khandelwal and Arbaaz Khan.
