Telangana Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali said that this is the time to be celebrating the progress made by the state of Telangana under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. On the occasion of Telangana state’s birth anniversary, the Minister took the opportunity to extend his greetings to the freedom-fighters, Telangana activists, families of the martyrs, public representatives, and the general public who took part in the Telangana movement.
The Minister hoisted the flag at Sangareddy district Headquarters on Friday. During the occasion, Minister Mahmood Ali said Telangana is a role model for the entire country, stating that the state had become a progressive force in just nine years of its existence.
The Minister highlighted the economic growth achieved by Telangana since its formation. “Prior to statehood, the economic condition of the region was dire, with a Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) growth rate of only 12%, which was lower than the national average of 13.4%. However, under Chief Minister KCR’s guidance, the state’s GSDP witnessed a significant increase, surpassing the national growth rate,” he said.
