Amid swirling speculation and what she calls a deliberate smear campaign, MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has broken her silence with a firm yet composed rebuttal. In a candid conversation, Kavitha clarified that her recent tours and political observations are entirely aimed at strengthening the party from the ground up – not staking a claim for power or position.

As for the silence from the party, she offered a diplomatic response. “I believe the party will respond in time to the smear campaigns against me,” she said “I am working purely for party consolidation. I’ve travelled across 47 constituencies and the opinions I’ve shared are based entirely on what I heard on the ground,” she said, brushing aside recent chatter that sought to frame her comments as disruptive.

Kavitha said her remarks on “Samaajika Telangana” (Social Telangana) were not premeditated but were shaped by the political mood and social dynamics she witnessed firsthand during her outreach. “Given the current realities, I felt it was important to raise issues that matter to people. There’s growing faith in the party among the public – day by day. In such a climate, what purpose does targeted misinformation serve?” she questioned.

The BRS MLC didn’t mince words when addressing what she believes to be a planned character assassination effort. “A few people have taken it upon themselves to spread negativity about me. Let them wait – when the time comes, everything will come out in the open,” she warned.

She also expressed her deep frustration over the ongoing personal attacks, especially in light of her recent legal ordeal. “Wasn’t six months in jail enough punishment? How much more do they want me to endure?” she asked, her tone tinged with both fatigue and defiance.

Kavitha made it clear that while she is not one to be provoked easily, if pushed, she would respond with more strength and clarity. “If they try to provoke me, I will speak up louder than ever before,” she said.
