I am being attacked personally: Sharmila

Must read

APCC president YS Sharmila has alleged that she is being attacked and abused personally by the ruling party leaders.
Addressing the extended meeting of the Congress here on Sunday, she reiterated that she carried out 3,200 km of padayatra to save the YSRCP when Jagan Reddy was in prison but without thankfulness, the YSRCP leaders were abusing her personally now.
“When YSR was the Chief Minister, the Handri Neeva project was completed 90%. However, the Jagan Mohan Reddy-led regime has failed to complete the 10% work of the project. The Jagan Reddy regime has also failed to complete the 50% works of Galeru-Nagari project,” she pointed out and questioned Jagan Reddy how could be the heir of Rajasekhar Reddy when he failed to complete the projects started by YSR.
She asserted that AP needs Special Category Status, Capital city, completion of the Polavaram project, generation of employment and agriculture loan waiver and all those would be possible with the Congress only.
She recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured of granting SCS to AP in Tirupati but the promise had not been fulfilled so far. The Modi-led government had meted out injustice to AP, she slammed. “Had the SCS been granted to AP, many industries would have been established by now and they would have churned out huge employment,” she opined.
Chandrababu Naidu had shown Capital City in 3D graphics, she flayed, stating that AP has not been granted a metro project.
YS Rajasekhar Reddy planned to construct the Mannavaram project at a cost of Rs 6,000 core and the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh laid the foundation stone for the same. But the project has not materialized so far, she flayed, regretting that the Jagan Reddy-headed government did not take steps to construct the project.
Former Union Ministers JD Seelam, Pallam Raju, Chinta Mohan, former APCC presidents N Raghuveera Reddy, Gidugu Rudra Raju and senior leader Koppula Raju were among those who attended the meeting.
