Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy said that she had not received any letter from the Governor, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, demanding a discussion on the University Teaching Staff Common Recruitment Bill which was raised by the Telangana University students’ Joint Action Committee (JAC).
This issue is the concern of the Students’ JAC and the Governor is delaying approval of the Bill although the Assembly has passed it.The student body is all set to listen to Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan and then they will continue their Chalo Raj Bhavan move.
The Bill allows direct recruitment to the posts of teaching and non-teaching staff except in medical universities.Earlier, the students’ JAC had warned the Centre against using the Governor to control the Telangana government and unnecessarily injecting politics into policy matters concerning students, the JAC said in a statement.
