Actor Sudigali Sudheer’s starrer Gaalodu will be hitting the nearby theaters today. Before the release of the film, the actor shares some insights about the film, and the type of films he has been getting off late.
Jabardasth fame Sudigali Sudheer is someone whom the common man can relate to. He rose to fame with his funny sketches on the decade-old comedy show, Jabardasth. Known for his extraordinary comic timing, Sudheer is ready to set his foot into the commercial mass cinema genre with Gaalodu which will hit the theaters today.
The mass action entertainer Gaalodu, directed by Rajasekhar Reddy Pulicharla and produced by Samskruthi films stars Sudigali Sudheer and Chor Bazaar fame, Gehna sippy will be seen in the titular roles. Comedians Sapthagiri, Prithviraj, and Shakalaka Shankar will be seen playing other important characters in the film. While Bheems Ciceroleo scored the music, C Ram Prasad is responsible for the stunning visuals seen in the film’s trailer. The teaser and trailer of Gaalodu had received a remarkable response.
In a recent interaction with the media, comedian-actor Sudheer explained what excited him the most about the film, One of the main reasons why I okayed this project is because I really liked the story and my character design. A jobless wanderer from a small town ends up in the city due to his circumstances and as the story progresses, the hero keeps facing many obstacles. In the midst of all this, there is some quintessential romance and twists that follow through. These elements excited me the most and I won’t say Gaalodu is a new story, but it has all the mass commercial elements.
Since childhood, I have liked mass movies. I used to watch Chiranjeevi and Rajinikanth movies a lot. I made this film to please our mass audience. I feel the title is pretty apt for the story because while I was shooting, I’d exactly feel like a Gaalodu, said the Wanted Pandugadu actor.
We have seen many top comedians like Sunil and Sapatagiri turn into lead actors. Although some of their films have worked at the box office, the audience found it difficult to accept them as lead actors. Perhaps, it has got to do with the strong image of these comedians. Maybe the audience simply doesn’t expect to see them saving the world and taking on the bad guys.
Responding to the same, the comedian said, “If you get a movie that changes your image, you should try it. Whether people will accept you or not comes later, but we have to try. I really have no idea about the market range and the business, but I don’t want any producer to lose money. I want all the distributors and producers to make money and be profitable. More than a comedian turned hero, I’d rather prefer people calling me an entertainer as that makes me the happiest.”
The Jabardasth entertainer further commented on the film offers that he has been getting off late. “ I started getting film opportunities only after the Dhee Show. On the show, I’ve had the chance to dance, perform magic and even host it. So, some of them came up to me and said why don’t we try making a film together? That is when I felt like when others believe in me, shouldn’t I believe in myself too? I don’t like being stuck in a shell, I like experimenting and broadening my horizons as a performer,” cleared the performer. Anchor turned actress Rashmi Gautam and Sudheer are fan favorites. They personally share a great bond off-screen and have been subjected to many rumors on social media.
However, they cleared the air saying they are nothing more than good colleagues. Fans of both actors have been eagerly waiting to witness the pair on screen for a while now. “The story was first narrated to Rashmi, but she was busy with other shoots. I don’t know when exactly it is going to happen but if we ever find a good story, we will definitely do it. Maybe the on-screen chemistry that Rashmi and I share worked out because we clearly respected each other. There was no holding hands and touching to show that we were close, we simply communicated with our eyes and that’s something that people liked,” reiterated the comedian.
Sudheer is super thrilled that the audience loved the teaser and trailer of the movie. Fans of the Jabardasth show have good news in store as the entertainer has confirmed that he will be back on the show to make everyone laugh. The 3 Monkeys actor feels that the audience has been missing mass cinema more than anything in the OTT era and he is confident that he will be able to satisfy the mass audience with Gaalodu.
