TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has made some sensational comments in the wake of the IT notices issued to him. Chandrababu said that he might be arrested in a day or two and might be attacked. He added that YSRCP was committing anarchy by misusing the system. He further said that in the past, former CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy initiated 26 inquiries against him, but could not do anything.
Addressing intellectuals, teachers and journalists in Rayadurg on Wednesday, Chandrababu said that the Jagan Mohan Reddy government was forcing companies and leaders to mention his name in criminal and other cases to arrest him.
“I may be arrested tomorrow or day after. I may also be attacked. Pressure is being exerted on leaders and industrialists to mention my name in corruption and criminal cases. But I am an honest leader,” Chandrababu said. He said that when YS Rajasekhar Reddy was the Chief Minister of the combined AP State, inquiries were held against him but nothing was found.
“I was attacked by YSRCP activists, but a case under section 307 for attempt to murder was registered against me. The YSRCP government has been registering cases against the TDP leaders for the past four-and-a-half years,” he said.
“The YSRCP government is trying to implicate me in false cases, including the Fiber Grid scam, skill development scam, capital city land scam and outer ring road scam. Now, the Income Tax Department has issued notices,” Chandrababu alleged.
He said that he had been in politics for 45 years, but no corruption case had been registered against him. The YSRCP government is trying to frame him in false cases. The Sakshi media, owned by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s family, is misleading the people by disseminating false news against him, he said.
Last week, the Income Tax Department served a show-cause notice on Chandrababu Naidu asking him to declare undisclosed income of Rs 118 crore.
