I will fight my case, cadres must focus on strengthening BRS: KTR

Speaking at the BRS party diary launch, KTR asked BRS workers to remain resilient despite political challenges, including the recent cases against the party’s leaders. He described the allegations against him as baseless and emphasised the importance of focusing on the welfare and promises made to the people of Telangana.
“The current situation is nothing compared to the struggles we faced during the Telangana Movement. Back then, our leaders sacrificed everything, and we overcame insurmountable odds. Today’s cases are trivial in comparison,” KTR said, calling Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s governance “shallow and opportunistic.”
Drawing parallels with Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, KTR said, “When the Centre targeted Hemant Soren, the people stood by him as he fought for their interests. Similarly, we must stand united against any attempts to derail us.”
Declaring that he would fight his case, KTR asked party workers to expose Congress’s failures, particularly its unfulfilled promises to farmers. “The Congress owes every farmer Rs 17,000 per acre. We need to remind people of their unfulfilled assurances, like loan waivers and support tenant farmers,” KTR said.
Looking ahead, KTR called for collective action. “This year must be a year of struggle against the Congress government’s betrayals. Let every BRS worker become a KCR, fighting for justice for Telangana’s people,” he declared.
He also announced plans for membership drives, committee formations and the election of a new party president soon.
KTR dismissed fears over the case against him, stating, “When you’ve done nothing wrong, there’s nothing to fear. We’ll fight this case legally and emerge stronger. Our focus should remain on exposing Congress’s financial mismanagement and false propaganda about irrigation projects and welfare schemes.”
