Multi-Zone-2 Inspector General Satyanarayana visited Miryalaguda’s Miryala village along with District SP Narasimha to meet the family of Chakrayya, who was brutally murdered on March 17. Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, IG Satyanarayana assured the victim’s family that strict action would be taken against all those involved, directly or indirectly.
Following the visit, Satyanarayana addressed the media, revealing that the murder was carried out by Chakrayya’s own relatives, particularly three sons-in-law, as part of a premeditated plan. A case has been registered against 19 accused at Nuthankal police station, and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by District SP Narasimha has already taken nine suspects into custody.
“The State government, DGP, and senior police officials are taking this case very seriously. No matter how influential the accused are, we will ensure that strict legal action is taken. The case will be investigated swiftly, and we will ensure the accused receive the maximum punishment in court,” IG Satyanarayana stated.
Additionally, authorities are investigating land disputes involving Kanakanti Venkanna, which allegedly led to tensions in the village. IG Satyanarayana assured that all illegal activities would be exposed and strict action would be taken against negligent police officials. Already, memos have been issued to certain officers for lapses in handling the case.
As elections approach, IG Satyanarayana urged villagers to maintain peace and not engage in any violent activities. He reiterated that law enforcement agencies would take stringent action against any criminal activities.
The visit was attended by Additional SP Nageswara Rao, Suryapet DSP Ravi, Special Branch Inspector Nagabhushanam, local CI Srinu, and other police personnel.
