In Cong first list, Reddys, Velamas get priority

The Congress high command released its first list containing the names of 55 candidates on Sunday for the November 30 Telangana Assembly elections. There are 119 Assembly constituencies in TS.

TPCC president Revanth Reddy showed his clout by making the high command give tickets to 11 leaders who joined the party recently. The party gave top priority to Reddys and Velamas in its first list like the BRS. The Congress allotted 17 seats to Reddys and seven seats to Velama candidates. The total number of seats for upper castes is 26 (Reddys-17, Velama-7, Brahmin–2).

Former TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and Malkajgiri MLA Mynampally Hanumantha Rao’s family got two seats each. Uttam Kumar Reddy got the ticket for Huzurnagar and his wife Padmavathi Reddy was given the Kodad ticket. Mynampally Hanumantha Rao got the Malkajgiri ticket and his son Mynampally Rohith Rao got the Medak ticket.

The Congress allocated seats to six women candidates. Surprisingly, AICC official spokesperson Pawan Khera’s wife Dr Kota Neelima got the ticket from Sanath Nagar. Kota Neelima, who is the TPCC general secretary and the chairperson of the committee appointed for the Dharani Portal, hails from Visakhapatnam.

The Congress allotted 17 tickets to Reddys. They are Prodduturi Vinay Kumar Reddy (Armoor), P. Sudharshan Reddy (Bodhan), Sunil Kumar Reddy Muthyala (Balkonda), T. Jeevan Reddy (Jagtial), T. Jagga Reddy (Sangareddy), Thumkunta Narsa Reddy (Gajwel), Kolan Hanmantha Reddy (Quthbullahpur), M. Parameshwar Reddy (Uppal), A. Revanth Reddy (Kodangal), Dr Kuchukulla Rajesh Reddy (Nagarkurnool), Kasireddy Narayana Reddy (Kalwakurthy), N. Uttam Kumar Reddy (Huzurnagar), Padmavathi Reddy (Kodad), Komatireddy Venkat Reddy (Nalgonda), Donthi Madhava Reddy (Narsampet),  Jayveer Reddy Kunduru (Nagarjuna Sagar) and T. Rammohan Reddy (Parigi).

The party allotted seven tickets to Velamas. They are Kokkirala Premsagar Rao (Mancherial), Kuchadi Srihari Rao (Nirmal), Mynampally Hanumantha Rao (Malkajgiri), Mynampally Rohitrao (Medak), Jupally Krishna Rao (Kollapur), Gandra Satyanarayana Rao (Bhupalapalli) and Chintakunta Vijayaramana Rao (Peddapalli).

Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy left his imprint on the list by getting the party to allot tickets to 11 leaders who joined the Congress recently.

They are Kasireddy Narayana Reddy (Kalwakurthy), Kuchukulla Rajesh Reddy (Nagarkurnool), Vinay Kumar Reddy (Armoor), Saritha Yadav (Gadwal), Mynampally Hanumantha Rao (Malkajgiri), Mynampally Rohith Rao (Medak), Parameshwar Reddy (Uppal-old leader), Muthyala Sunil Kumar Reddy (Balkonda), Vemula Veeresham (Nakrekal), A. Chandrasekhar (Zaheerabad), M. Sunitha (Goshamahal) and Jupally Krishna Rao (Kollapur).

The party also gave tickets to two Brahmins, Duddilla Sridhar Babu (Manthani) and Dr Kota Neelima (Sanath Nagar).

The party gave 12 tickets to BCs, two to Yadavs, two to Munnurukapu, one Kuruma, one Mudiraj, one Valmiki Boya, one Mera, one Padmashali, one Chakali, and one Thakoor (BC).

They are M. Anjan Kumar Yadav (Musheerabad–Yadav), Thotakura Vajresh Yadav (Medchal–Yadav), Beerla Ilaiah (Kuruma–Alair), Aadi Srinivas (Munnuru Kapu–Vemulawada),  Adam Santhosh Kumar (Munnuru Kapu–Secunderabad), Mogili Snitha(Mudiraj–Goshamahal), Boya Nagesh (Valmiki Boya–Chandrayanagutta), MS Raj Thakoor (BC—Ramagundam), K. Ravi Raju (Mera–Yakutpura), Rajesh Kumar Pulpati (Padmashali–Bahadurpura), K. Shankaraiah (Chakali–Shadnagar).

The party allotted SC reserved seats (eight Madiga and four Mala) seats to Gaddam Vinod (Mala–Bellampalli), Adluri Laxman Kumar (Madiga–Dharmapuri), Dr Kavvampally Satyanarayana (Madiga–Manakonduru), C. Damodara Rajanarsimha (Madiga–Andole), Agam Chandrasekhar (Madiga–Zaheerabad), Pamena Bheembharat (Madiga–Chevella), Gaddam Prasad Kumar (Mala–Vikarabad), Dr SA Sampath Kumar (Madiga–Alampur), Dr Chikkudu Vamshi Krishna (Mala–Achampet), Vemula Veeresham (Madiga–Nakrekal), Singapuram Indira (Madiga–Station Ghanpur) and Bhatti Vikramarka (Mala–Madhira).

The Congress allotted ST reserved seats to Podem Veeraiah (Adivasi–Bhadrachalam) and Danasiri Anasuya (Adivasi–Mulugu).

The party allotted three seats to Muslims. They are Shaikh Akbar (Malakpet), Mohammed Feroz Khan (Nampally) and Osman Bin Mohammed Hajri (Karwan).
