National Federation of Indian Women (NFIW) State unit general secretary Nedunuri Jyothy on Sunday warned Baba Ramdev of dire consequences if he failed to mend his way. She registered a protest against Ramdev for his ‘indecent remarks’ against women.
“The women look good in anything- sari, salwar Kameez or even when they wear nothing,” Ramdev was quoted as having said. Baba Ramdev’s effigy was burnt at Pocham Maidan under the auspices of NFIW.
Speaking on the occasion, Jyothy said the Baba under the garb of a spiritual guru was making ‘derogatory remarks’ against women, she said. She warned him of the consequences if he continued to pour scorn on women. She demanded an apology from the Baba. NFIW district general secretary T Rahela, P Divya and others were present.
