Industrial zones should be modelled on the lines of Sri City: Minister

State Industries, Commerce, and Food Processing Minister TG Bharat has urged immediate action to address issues within industrial zones across the State. During a review meeting on Saturday at the APIIC office in Mangalagiri, Minister Bharat, joined by Secretary of the Industries Department Yuvaraju and Commissioner Sridhar, discussed the state of industrial zones.
The Minister reviewed various aspects, including land details, water supply, electricity, infrastructure, and land allotments. He stressed the need for prompt resolution of existing problems and directed officials to inspect older industrial parks throughout the districts. Emphasising the potential for revenue generation, he advised integrating industrial park sites into cities and ensuring measures to prevent encroachment.
Minister Bharat highlighted the positive impact of CM Chandrababu Naidu’s brand image on investor confidence. He noted ongoing investment negotiations in Andhra Pradesh and stressed the importance of resolving issues in industrial zones to create a conducive environment for investors. He called for infrastructure improvements modelled after the SriCity development.
The Minister announced plans to visit Vijayawada, Vizag, and other industrial zones soon. He urged that any lower-level issues in the development of industrial zones be promptly escalated to higher authorities for resolution
