Industry giants prefer to invest in Telangana with the State government introducing Telangana Industrial Project Approval and Self-Certification System (TS-iPASS) and providing the round-the-clock power supply, according to State Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy on Tuesday.
Participating as chief guest in the Industrial Growth Festival as part of Telangana State decennial celebrations at Miryalaguda in the district, he said the IT exports in the State grew to Rs 2,41,275 crore. It was a jump from Rs 1.83 lakh crore in 2021-22. The IT sector created 9,05,715 jobs in Telangana State.
Apart from it, as many as 720 industries secured approval through TS-iPASS in the Nalgonda district and 55 of them were already launched. The State government was keen on expanding IT sectors to districts to create more jobs for the youth. The government built an IT Tower at a cost of Rs 74 crore In Nalgonda, he said.
Sukender Reddy said that the State government has also introduced several welfare schemes for the benefit of the poor and disadvantaged sections of society.
