Prakasam District Collector AS Dinesh Kumar has assured the entrepreneurs of providing the needed infrastructure for the establishment of industries in the district.
The Collector on Friday visited the industries located at Maddipadu mandal and saw the functioning of industries.
He held a meeting with the entrepreneurs and learned about their problems. The Collector said that the elections to the Industrial Area Local Authority (AILA) Centre would be held before the end of January.
Dinesh Kumar suggested that AILA should focus on the infrastructure required for the development of the centre. He said that he would ensure that necessary help is received from the government. He said that he would take steps to ensure that necessary help should be extended by the government.
There would be no laxity in the creation of infrastructure. He enquired about the income and expenses coming to this centre through taxes.The officials were directed to prepare a comprehensive development plan keeping in mind the requirements in the next 40 years for the development of a growth centre. Drinking water, street lights, construction of new roads, drainage maintenance, safety measures and installing CC cameras . It is suggested that special attention should be paid to the arrangements of control of the entry of outsiders without any scope for unsocial activities in this centre. The Collector said that he would ensure that the police beat and patrol at night in this centre.
Later, the Collector visited the granite industries here and the chemical factory where there was a fire accident recently and enquired about the implementation and safety measures. First, the Teachable software training centre established in this centre was inspected. The Collector interacted with the candidates who are undergoing training and asked for the details of the courses available. He advised the candidates to gain efficiency through new technology.
