IRCTC announces ‘Punyakshetra Yatra’ to Puri & Kashi

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has unveiled a special nine-day package tour named Punyakshetra Yatra — a spiritual journey to Puri and Kashi — from December 9 to 17. Chandramohan Basha, IRCTC Area Officer, released a statement on Tuesday, providing details of the pilgrimage.
The comprehensive package tour encompasses significant religious destinations, including Gaya, Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Prayagraj. Pilgrims participating in the tour will have the opportunity to visit prominent temples and historical landmarks, enhancing their spiritual experience.
The itinerary includes visits to the Vishnu Padam Temple in Puri, Kashi Viswanath Temple, Visalakshi and Annapurna temples, Ganga Harati, and Sarnath monuments in Varanasi. Additionally, the tour covers significant sites in Ayodhya such as Ram Janmabhoomi, Hanuman Garhi, and a special Harati ceremony at River Sarayu. In Prayagraj, pilgrims will explore the Triveni Sangam, Hanuman Mandir, and Shankar Viman Mandapam.
The boarding stations for this pilgrimage are Pendurthi and Vizianagaram. The package prices vary based on accommodation preferences, including single, double, or triple sharing basis.
