YSRTP President YS Sharmila is getting closer to the Congress with every passing day. She has been speaking like a Congress leader since a few weeks giving the impression that she might merge her party with the Congress.
She also met Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shiva Kumar twice and greeted him on his birthday after he became the Deputy CM of Karnataka. Since then the YSRTP has been leaking info that a merger or an alliance is likely with the Congress. Sharmila’s greetings to former AICC president Rahul Gandhi on the occasion of his 53rd birthday intensified speculations that she may merge her party with the Congress. It is learnt that Sharmila may merge her party with the Congress if it accepts her demands.
