Recently, megastar Chiranjeevi imitating popular producer Dil Raju during the promotions of his upcoming film Bholaa Shankar has gone viral. The promotions for the movie are in full swing as it is gearing up for a grand theatrical release worldwide on August 11. The movie is gaining more attention for various reasons. While Megastar is one of the major reasons, the lead cast in the movie – Tamannah Bhatia, Keerthy Suresh and Sushant – are other reasons.
While we recently informed you how excited actor Sushant is to shake a leg with the megastar in the movie, we have today, the caption of the ship, the director of Bholaa Shankar, Meher Ramesh interacting with the media about the movie, produced by Ramabraham Sunkara.
Like for many, even for Meher, directing Chiranjeevi was a dream, and the entire shoot of Bholaa will be very special to him as he is still living his dream. Like Chiru said, going on sets of Bholaa was like a picnic for all of them.
The director shared, “It’s like a picnic only when Chiranjeevi Garu (whom he fondly calls Annaya) is on the sets. He doesn’t go into his caravan too. He has fun with everyone on the set. We enjoyed making this movie, and it turned out amazingly.”
Meher considers himself one of the fastest filmmakers we have now. He is known to have completed the shoot of Billa, a big budget movie, in just four months.
Bholaa Shankar is a remake of the Tamil superhit movie Vedalam. And what made Meher choose a remake for Chiru? The sole reason, the director said, is the brotherly philosophy in the movie.
He said, “I call Chiranjeevi Annaya. There is an elder brother philosophy in this. I like it very much. Even though the generation has changed, the connections remain the same. This is a story with brother sister emotion along with action and entertainment. I have never dealt with such a subject. We have made changes to this to suit Chiranjeevi’s image here. The treatment given to Chiranjeevi in the second half is completely different. We have made about 70 percent changes to the original.”
“For us, this remake was a big task rather than a risk. Remaking is a big task. A big success should be done correctly, and people will like it. We have presented Bholaa Shankar to the liking of the audience. Bholas Shankar has all the elements required of a Chiranjeevi film. Additionally, the mannerisms of the Power Star came through in small leaks (laughs). This story was waiting for me to show my love for my brother,” he added.
Convincing actresses who are leading the game to play a sister role is very difficult. And in this movie, we have an award winning actress, Keerthy Suresh, playing Chiranjeevi’s sister. How did Meher convince her? Let us hear from him, “Megastar needs a mega actress. Keerthy Suresh is very connected to the emotions in this story. When the story was narrated, she said she would do it immediately. In this, Keerthy Suresh’s character is a big asset.”
