Jagan dedicates YS Raja Reddy Eye Hospital to people

Former Chief Minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy dedicated the modernised YS Raja Reddy Eye Hospital to the public. The hospital, upgraded at a cost of Rs. 10 crore, was handed over to the people of Pulivendula. Following the inauguration, Jagan toured the facility, inspected the newly installed arrangements, and even underwent an eye examination himself.
The YS Raja Reddy Hospital has been a cornerstone of healthcare in Pulivendula for decades. It holds historical significance as the workplace of the late Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy, a revered leader who earned the title of the “One Rupee Doctor” for his accessible medical services.  
The hospital has now been transformed into a state-of-the-art facility equipped with modern infrastructure and advanced technology to provide cutting-edge eye care services. The YS Raja Reddy Eye Hospital’s modernisation was made possible through the efforts of the YSR Foundation, which provided the land and invested approximately Rs. 10 crore to construct a new building. In collaboration with the renowned LV Prasad Eye Institute, the facility has been equipped to deliver high-quality eye care at affordable rates.
The hospital now boasts advanced equipment capable of performing up to 5,000 eye surgeries daily, ensuring that the people of Pulivendula and surrounding areas have access to world-class medical services at minimal cost.
