Jana Sena chief K Pawan Kalyan has alleged that the distribution of house sites and construction of houses in Jagananna colonies is the biggest scam that has taken place during the YSRCP regime.
Pawan Kalyan, along with PAC chairman Nadendla Manohar, visited a Jagananna colony at Gunkalam located on the outskirts of Vizianagaram on Friday. When Pawan Kalyan entered the city he was accorded a rousing reception by a large number of activists by a giant garland. He saw the houses at the colony. A massive rally was taken out on the occasion.
Addressing a huge gathering on the occasion, Pawan Kalyan announced that the JSP would contest from all the constituencies in the next elections and asked the cadre not to be scared at the cases being registered by the police. Pawan Kalyan claimed that some leaders told him that Rs 12,000 crore in corruption was committed in the name of the construction of houses by the ruling party leaders.
“A massive scam worth Rs 12,000 crore has taken place in AP in the name of construction of houses for the poor. The Central government is extending funds for the construction of houses. The YSRCP leaders are participating in laying the foundation stones, unveiling pylons for the housing projects, and owning the Centrally-funded housing projects,” he charged.
The YSRCP leaders purchased lands from farmers for the Jagananna colonies by paying Rs 5 lakh per acre, the Jana Sena chief said, and alleged that they later sold the same at Rs 40 lakh to Rs 60 lakh per acre to the government. The YSRCP leaders made crores of rupees in purchasing lands for the Jagananna colonies,’ Pawan Kalyan lashed out.
Pawan Kalyan said that the government, after distributing the house sites to the beneficiaries, did not come forward for the construction of houses in the colonies. “When the government could not construct 12,000 houses at Gunkalam village, how can it construct a capital city in Visakhapatnam?” he reasoned.
“The YSRCP leaders are under the illusion that if a capital city is constructed in Visakhapatnam that will create wonders for them. They are again trying to hoodwink the people. People should question the ruling party leaders when they can complete constructing houses for them in Jagananna colonies,” Pawan Kalyan said.
Taking a dig at Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, the JSP chief said the farmers are under the false impression that pushing buttons is the only responsibility of the Chief Minister.
Pawan Kalyan appealed to the people to give an opportunity to the Jana Sena in the next elections to show them to create a corrupt-free state. He promised to stand by the people who are in trouble.
He dared the YSRCP leaders to raise the problems of the State and discuss the unresolved issues when they go to Delhi with the Central leaders instead of misleading them by providing false information. “The people will break the feudalist fortress and the Jana Sena candidates will find nominations in all the constituencies,” he announced.
