As part of the celebration of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s birthday on December 21, the NTR District Sports Authority (DSA) is going to organise Zonal-level (Zone-2) Kabaddi tournament for both men and women at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation (IGMC) Stadium in Vijayawada on December 13.
As part of the ‘Jagananna Kreeda Sambaralu’, the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) is conducting district and zonal-level tournaments in all districts.
Regarding Zone -2 Kabaddi for men and women, NTR District Sports Authority (DSA) will conduct a Kabaddi tournament for both men and women at the IGMC Stadium, said NTR DSA Chief Coach SA Azeez in a press release here on Saturday.
He said that Kakinada, East Godavari, Konaseema, Eluru, West Godavari, Krishna, and NTR districts’ men and women Kabaddi teams will participate in the tournament. The Zone-2 Kabaddi tournament would be conducted on a knockout basis, he said.
He further said that accommodation would be provided for women’s teams at the Chennupati Ramakotaiah Municipal Corporation Stadium at Patamata and men’s teams at the IGMC Stadium. The tournament would be conducted as per the Ametuer Kabaddi Federation of India rules and regulations, he said.
