Sangareddy Congress MLA T. Jagga Reddy is likely to join the BRS on August 19 or after a few days. He has been keeping away from Congress programmes since many months and has been moving closely with BRS leaders.

According to BRS sources, it is learnt that Jagga may join between August 19 and August 23. It is learnt that this has not been confirmed.

There is also a chance that Jagga may join the BRS at its Medak public meeting being held on August 23 which Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is attending. Or else, Jagga may join before the Medak public meeting and will attend the Medak meeting along with KCR, it is learnt.

In fact, the former BRS MLA from Sangareddy, Chintha Prabhakar’s followers raised slogans in front of Health Minister T. Harish Rao’s residence asking him not to induct Jagga into the party. But Harish sent them back after convincing them about Jagga, it is learnt.

It is also learnt that KCR directed Harish and Jagga Reddy to work jointly and win all seats in the erstwhile Medak district.

In fact, during the recent Assembly session, Jagga met BRS Working President KT Ramarao in the Assembly. In fact, Jagga raised matters about his constituency but did not criticise the government in the Assembly sparking rumours that he may join the BRS.

However, Jagga rejected those reports and said that he met KTR to raise his constituency’s problems.

He also made it clear that he has been staying in the Congress for the sake of Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi and that he will not leave the Congress as long as Rahul and Sonia are there.

But news spread on social media that Jagga may join the BRS on August 19 or 20. He did not respond to the reports that went viral on Thursday.

Jagga’s office did not respond to phone calls made by ‘The Pioneer’ regarding this.
