The hoarding of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s national party, Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) with ‘Jai Ho KCR’ was put up in Vijayawada on Saturday. The hoarding was erected on the busy Bandar Road. It may be recalled that earlier also on October 6 this year, hoardings welcoming BRS appeared in Vijayawada.

Apart from the pictures of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and the party’s working president and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao, the hoardings sported ‘Jai Ho KCR’ slogans with the photos of TRS leader Bandi Ramesh and D Bhavan Kumar. The banner read “A new era in the country’s politics is the emergence of the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi, an end to vengeance politics, and the development of Andhra Pradesh. New Bharosa”. It may be recalled that the Telangana State was formulated by bifurcating the united AP State and TRS used to criticise Andhra leaders about robbing Telangana claiming itself as an exclusive Telangana party. But as the TRS turned into BRS as a national party, the slogan also changed reflecting BRS’s intention to develop AP by giving a call to end vengeance politics.

The huge hoarding was reportedly set up by TRS (now Bharat Rashtra Samithi) State Secretary and TRS Secunderabad Parliamentary Constituency incharge, Bandi Ramesh, who originally belongs to Bhatlapenumarru village in Krishna district and was settled in Hyderabad. He entered into politics by joining Praja Rajyam, later into Telugu Desam and further into TRS. The sources said that Ramesh is interested in contesting the election from AP and hence erected BRS hoarding.

According to the sources, the followers of KCR have started preparations for setting up the BRS state office in AP. The sources stated that primarily BRS leaders are planning a state office on Jakkampudi inner ring road highway in Vijayawada city. Telangana Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav is likely to visit Vijayawada to inspect the site on December 18 and 19 to finalise the place.
