JSP chief to skip ‘Yuvagalam’ valedictory

Must read

In a noteworthy development within the opposition alliance, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has decided to skip the culmination event of the ‘Yuvagalam’ padayatra scheduled for December 20 in Nellimarla, Vizianagaram district. The earlier anticipation of a joint appearance by TDP and JSP chiefs, along with Nara Lokesh, stirred considerable excitement, projecting the event as a grand spectacle expected to draw a multitude of attendees. The announcement of Pawan Kalyan’s absence has sparked debates within political circles.
Nara Lokesh, the party’s general secretary and TDP successor, has undertaken an extensive ‘Yuvagalam’ padayatra for almost a year, culminating in a grand closing ceremony on December 20. The TDP high command extended an invitation to Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, a key ally in the forthcoming 2024 elections in Andhra Pradesh, to participate in the culmination program. The ‘Yuvagalam’ closing ceremony is poised to be a massive gathering, with the TDP cadre expecting an attendance of approximately 500,000 people. The party’s decision to invite Pawan Kalyan was influenced by the historical association between the two parties. Unfortunately, Pawan Kalyan has conveyed his inability to attend the ‘Yuvagalam’ event due to prior commitments on that day. While declining the invitation, he expressed willingness to participate in future events of the TDP-JSP alliance, such as the joint manifesto announcement and significant public meetings during the upcoming election campaign. The JSP chief sought understanding for his absence from the Yuvagalam closing event.
Though the TDP cadre may feel a tinge of disappointment at Pawan Kalyan’s decision, there is a silver lining. With Pawan absent, the spotlight will exclusively be on Nara Lokesh
and Chandrababu, providing them
the opportunity to address the TDP cadre.
