Founder-president of Committee to Safeguard Telangana State Resources Bakka Judson, along with residents of Divitipalle, appealed to the Collector  Ravi Gugulothu to cancel the licence to the highly polluting Amarraja Batteries Company project and vowed to continue his fight against the company till its closure.
He said that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy would be held squarely responsible if anything untoward happened to anyone during the agitation against the company.
On Tuesday, a meeting was held with Collector with participation of residents of Divitipalli on the polluting industry.
The local villagers told the Collector that they had waged several agitations against the company, sanctioned by former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao government.
However, the Revanth-headed Congress regime is pursuing the KCR policies, he alleged.
The company will release 65 kinds of toxic gases into atmosphere and pollute ground water by releasing 170 kinds of poisonous gases. People living in a radius of at least 100 km from the company would be exposed to radiation, he said.
Quoting the government as saying, he stated that the establishment of the company would go ahead as planned unmindful of any protests against its establishment. During the movement for Telangana fought for water, funds and postings several students sacrificed their lives, he said, indicating that he would continued to fight.
