Kakani opens new ‘Rythu Bazaar’

Minister for Agriculture Kakani Govardhan Reddy inaugurated the newly-constructed Krishna Lanka ‘Rythu Bazaar’, on the bund of the Bandar Canal in front of Krishna Lanka Police Station with Rs 98.24 lakh in Vijayawada on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Govardhan Reddy said that the State government is giving support by providing affordable prices to all crops produced by the farmers. Following the directions of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Marketing Department is arranging new Rythu Bazaars available to the consumers, he said.He further said that 100 Rythu Bazaars are working in the State, of which 12 are in the NTR district. The State government is spending Rs.5 crore for the modernisation of 38 Rythu Bazaars, he said.

His government is taking steps to provide a Primary Processing Centre in each Parliamentary constituency in the State, he added. Kapu Corporation Chairman Adapa Seshagiri Rao, Fibernet Corporation Chairman P Gowtham Reddy, YSRCP Vijayawada East Constituency in charge Devineni Avinash, VMC Deputy Mayors Avuthu Sri Sailaja, Bellam Durga, Rythu Bazars’ CEO M Nanda Kishore, Joint Collector S Nupur Ajay Kumar, Marketing RJD K Srinivasa Rao, Deputy Director Divakar, and Assistant Director Kishore were present.
