Kamal Haasan gets high praise for his role in Kalki 2898 AD

During a special press conference in Chennai, Kamal Haasan finally talked about the reaction Kalki 2898 AD has been receiving. The actor is presently occupied with the promotion of his next film, Indian 2, which will hit theatres on July 12. He has found time in his hectic schedule to view the movie and talk about Kalki 2898 AD. “In Kalki, I have played a small role that makes an appearance for a few minutes only,” the actor started. “I haven’t even started my actual role in the movie yet; I have more work ahead of me in the sequel. I was shocked when I saw this movie as a fan.”
“Kalki 2898 AD is one of many signifiers that Indian cinema is moving towards global entertainment. Nag Ashwin approached mythology with caution and impartiality toward all religions. The storytelling legacy of India is unmatched by any other culture, with the exception of Greece, Japan and China. By bringing everyone together, Ashwin has selected stories from that and carried them out very patiently.”
After seeing the movie, Kamal complimented Amitabh Bachchan’s performance and stated that he wasn’t sure how to classify him. “I’m not sure if he qualifies as a new actor or a veteran. He did a really good job on the movie. It appears like the movie was created with kids in mind. Now, don’t question how a white-haired man can watch these kinds of movies. This movie makes you realize that every adult has a child inside of them. I think this is a fantastic attempt and I’m glad to be involved. The fact that this adventure will continue makes me delighted,” he continued.
The cast of Indian 2, which features Kamal Haasan and Shankar, will soon be travelling to Singapore to promote the film. This will be Senapathy’s feature film comeback. The actor will also feature in Thug Life, a 2025 release directed by Mani Ratnam.
