‘Kartika Vanasamaradhana’ will improve friendly ties: Mayor

The staff of the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) and corporators gathered at Kotturu Tadepalli on Sunday to celebrate ‘Kartika Vanasamaradhana’ (garden party).

Mayor Rayana Bhagyalakshmi expressed happiness over the staff and the corporators coming together in one place and thanked them for participating in the programme. She expressed the hope that such events would improve friendly relations among them. For providing better amenities to the denizens, the VMC is spending crores of rupees. With the cooperation of the people, the VMC will be at the forefront to provide development and welfare to the people, she said.

Commissioner Swapnil Dinkar Pundkar said that the programme was organised for the staff to have fun and entertainment. He said that the VMC is organising many informative programmes and the response of the people is also good. In the days to come, more programmes will be organised with the cooperation of the public. He said that the ‘Kartika Vanasaradhana’ programme will be organised every year.

West Constituency MLA Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao, Legislative Council Member MD Ruhulla, Eastern Constituency In-charge Devineni Avinash, Deputy Mayors Bellam Durga, Avuthu Shailaja Reddy, corporators, public representatives and VMC staff were present.
