Telangana MLC Padi Kaushik Reddy is mulling legal options to proceed against BLP legislator Eatala Rajender and his wife Jamuna for their allegations against him.
Kaushik told The Pioneer that they have not produced any evidence and termed the allegations baseless. “I am a cricketer. I wore Indian flag with pride. Eatala Rajender has a history of murders. I will consult my legal team over the next steps”.Asked if he would issue legal notices, Kaushik said he would definitely consider doing so.
Padi said: “My only ambition is to defeat him; so, why would I kill him”. He added: “Because we are not at fault, even Minister KTR reacted immediately. Why would any party set up inquiry if their party leader is at fault? All the three surveys by BJP, BRS and Congress show that he is going to lose. That’s why unnecessary issues he is creating by circulating fake audios.
I have evidence of every allegation he made and that too against him”.
Pointing to the tell-tale sequence of events, Kaushik said: “First both wife and husband wanted to address the media. Then only his wife addresses the media, a couple of hours later Eatala speaks and finally they claim of Y-category security. The chronology of events itself is suspicious”. Kaushik claimed that he in fact had a threat to life from Eatala but did not approach the police for enhanced security. “They conducted a recce on me”, he said.
