BRS MLC failed to deliver on her promise of installing tallest Hanuman statue
Minister for Transport Ponnam Prabhakar has appealed to the people to ensure victory of all Congress candidates from 17 Lok Sabha seats in the forthcoming elections.
Addressing the media here on Wednesday, he pointed out that the Congress, if it makes a promise, will fulfill it.
Responding to MLC Kalwakuntla Kavita’s arrest by the Enforcement Directorate, he attributed the arrest to her going back on her promise to the presiding deity of Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy. Earlier, she promised to install a tallest Anjaneya Swamy Kondagattu statue at Kondagattu temple. She did not fulfill her vows to him. Hence, Kavitha was arrested, he felt
He said that he prayed to the deity to ensure electoral success of Congress candidate from Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat. He claimed that the Congress government was a people’s government and hence implemented several people’s oriented programmes.
He charged the BRS former MP Vinod and BJP MP Sanjay with throwing development of Karimnagar constituency to winds. He demanded that they release a White Paper on what they did to the development of the constituency during their tenure. The Congress would release a White Paper on what it did to the constituency, challenging the BRS and BJP leaders.
When K Chandrashekar Rao visited Karimnagar in the past, he used to claim that he was a top Hindu leader as he performed major yagam. Taking advantage of that, he managed to win from the Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat. What did Bandi Sanjay Kumar do to develop pilgrimage centers of Kondagattu and Vemulawada, he wondered.
