Revolutionary balladeer Gaddar’s photo is missing from the official invitation for the Telangana Gaddar Film Awards.
In a post on X, Kavitha said, “I condemn the Congress Government for insulting people’s singer Gaddar. It is unfortunate that a government which frequently invokes his name has now chosen to exclude his photo from the invitation to an event where awards are being given in his name.”
Describing it as painful, Kavitha urged the state to correct the lapse during the awards presentation ceremony itself. “At the very least, the government should display Gaddar’s portrait at the event and honour him,” she demanded. Congress MLC Teenmaar Mallanna said, “Give a ‘Best Designer’ award to the genius who made Gaddar’s photo disappear.
