BRS MLC K Kavitha demanded the Central government to probe cash for vote case in which CM Revanth Reddy is accused1, welcoming Supreme Court judgement that lawmakers, including MPs & MLAs, can be prosecuted under the Prevention of Corruption Act. She said that PM Modi has welcomed the judgement on Twitter. “Now, we ask the PM to probe the Chief Minister of Telangana in the cash for vote case.”
Kavitha announced that they will protest in Dharna Chowk on the March 8 under the auspices of Bharat Jagruti against the attitude of the Congress government and CM Revanth Reddy. She said that she will protest with black badges on International Women’s Day. Revanth Reddy said that all the current job appointments are done by KCR and only the notification given by Revanth Government is DSC.
Kavitha demanded the immediate cancellation of GO No. 3 as it was unfair to many women and that women got only 12 per cent jobs in the recruitment of gurukula jobs.
Speaking to the media at her residence, Kavitha said that women are being treated unfairly in filling government jobs. Government has brought the new GO No3, which should be cancelled immediately. In protest against this, we will participate in a dharna with black ribbons at Dharna Chowk on Women’s Day. We will take up protest programmes. The Congress government is doing extreme injustice to women and candidates. The 33 per cent reservation has been completely withdrawn. She said that there is a danger that more women will not get jobs with the roster system
On protest against Telangana government, Kavitha says, “When KCR (K Chandrashekar Rao) was the CM of Telangana, the government tried its best to retain the reservation of 33% for women in jobs and educational opportunities. But, unfortunately, the Supreme Court gave a judgment against this reservation.
